Passing the Torch to the Next Generation

I could never thank my mentors enough for the countless hours invested in me.

I grew up thinking that a young man with my background and upbringing had little to no chance of successfully completing completing college, or becoming a doctor.

I met each of my mentors at different times during my journey.

Collectively,  they have been instrumental in my success. I can’t express how much the early morning text messages of encouragement, scheduled meetings, phone calls on my behalf, and leisure days fishing and talking about life meant to me and reinforced how strong my support system was.

My mentors inspire me to be a better version of myself each and every day, so I can be a better doctor to my future patients and be an inspiration to the next generation of doctors. Thank you

My mentors have notably impacted my life and education. Their guidance and direction have allowed me to grow as a student, professional and person. Due to their advocacy and encouragement, I have gained confidence and success in my field. I know many of these relationships will continue throughout my career, and I hope to one day act as a mentor to those coming after me.
