Professional Development Workshops & Supplemental Programs
Professional Development Workshops educate the student on the non-clinical aspects of medicine, such as CV building, interviewing skills, sub-internship performance and research, that he or she will need to master in order to be a comprehensively prepared and competitive applicant in their field of choice. This is accomplished through on-going professional development sessions with chairs, program directors and resident faculty, which take place at specialty meetings and conferences.
Annual Professional Development Programs
Nth Dimensions provides housing grants for students to attend the Student Symposium held at the annual meeting of the specialty’s academy. Academic chairs, program directors, faculty, OSI preceptors and residents educate students in non-clinical and essential content areas necessary to become competitive residency applicants. Topics include Leveraging your Assets to get the Residency/Medical School of your Choice, How to Prepare a Winning Application for Residency, and Crafting the Most Effective CV/Personal Statement. Program evaluation data is collected to assess program effectiveness.
